Having been closed down for about 2 years due to an oil spill/explosion, my humble gun range in my town has reopened! Get ready for more gun reviews and fewer political posts! I'm excited to get back out there and do some more in-depth tests like I had done previously.
While my local range was closed, reviewing guns was a hassle. For quality blog content, I had to do one of the following:
- Go shooting at an indoor range which can get expensive.
- Contact family in a rural part of the state with land and spend a better part of the day traveling to and from their property.
- Drive an hour both ways to and from the Talladega CMP Marksmanship Park, which costs money AND takes up most of the day.
- Review a personal weapon that I've shot many times before.
- Write a political post - There has been a lot of content here lately.
It will be nice to finally get back to doing more than just holding a gun, saying "wow, I wish I could shoot it" and then handing it back to the owner knowing I'll never get to live-fire that weapon. No more!
I won't leave you hanging - Here is a sneak peak of what to expect reviews on soon:
- Ruger EC9s
- Smith and Wesson M&P Shield
- Yildiz SPZ ME/20
- Smith and Wesson Bodyguard .38
Stay tuned for some more reviews! If you have any suggestions about the types of posts you prefer, please let me know. I will do my best to oblige.
